GE Energy inks $500m Bahrain deal

GE Energy has announced that it has signed contracts worth more than $500m to supply advanced power generation equipment and long-term services for the Al Dur Independent Water and Power Project, in Bahrain. The country's Electricity and Water Authority is planning additional capacity expansions over the next 20 years to support the country's reported power demand growth rate of 7%-10% a year
