Petrofac Emirates LLC becomes HCT foundation sponsor

Petrofac Emirates, the joint venture between Petrofac and Mubadala Petroleum Services Company LLC has signed a strategic sponsorship with the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT); becoming one of the founding members of the HCT Foundation's 100-Club.

The agreement was signed in Abu Dhabi by HE Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of
Higher Education and Scientific Research, Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology and Hussain Al Ansari , Chairman of Petrofac Emirates.

Petrofac Emirates' three year sponsorship will support the continued development of young UAE nationals and enhance HCT's programme offerings to meet the needs of both students and industry throughout the 16-campus network. The funds will also contribute to underpinning best practice, monitoring and improving academic standards, faculty development within the education system and the community.

Petrofac Emirates provides a full range of engineering, design, procurement and construction services for the onshore oil & gas, refining and petrochemical projects throughout the United Arab Emirates.

Hussain Al Ansari , Chairman of Petrofac Emirates said:

In an industry with an ageing workforce, social investment in education, training and development is core to us securing the future sustainability of our workforce. This programme is extremely progressive and we are delighted to be a founding member of the 100-Club."


In 2007, as part of its 20th anniversary initiative the Higher Colleges of Technology established the HCT Foundation with a mandate to provide partnership opportunities for the corporate sector. In less than one year, the Foundation has added 24 companies who have made significant gifts to its 100-Club.

"As The Higher Colleges of Technology continue to meet the needs of the highly globalised marketplace, financial support and partnerships from the private sector will be essential," stated Dr Tayeb Kamali, Vice Chancellor of the HCT.

"We deeply appreciate Petrofac Emirates becoming a HCT Foundation 100-Club Sponsor, and we applaud their vision in ensuring effective Emiratisation particularly in specialisations such as chemical and mechanical engineering." he added.
