Dell to showcase latest products and solutions at GITEX 2002

Dell will address the enterprise needs of the corporate customer by offering a range of solutions that will be showcased this week at Gitex 2002.

"Our focus this year is on the enterprise side of the business, as we expand our IT solutions to meet the needs of our customers, both existing and potential, as will be demonstrated at Gitex 2002."
Dell will be displaying several products and solutions at Gitex 2002 through its partner stands, including Dell Optiplex GX 260, based on the new Intel P4 2.8 Ghz processor, the Dell Latitude C840 notebook, which offers outstanding performance using the latest mobile Intel P4 processors and the new Dell Latitude X200, the thinnest and lightest of all Latitudes.
Dell partners with Emirates Computers this year to display the enterprise rack configuration with the latest EMC product range installed, including a complete Fibre Channel 2 Storage Area Network (SAN) with multiple devices attached. Solutions demonstrated on the stand will include Content Management solutions from Vignette, Document Management from Livelink, CRM/ERP solution from EPICOR, Point of Sale Financial Education from Orange and Oracle Portal all running on a a range of Dell rack optimised PowerEdge servers. Also displayed will be the Dell Dimension 4500 and 2300 - the next generation desktops with some of the latest multimedia technology and high-end peripherals, and the Dell Inspiron 2650 notebook, which is ideal for efficient and productive working in today's everyday business and multimedia applications. Emirates Computers stand is located in Hall 4 at Gitex 2002.
In Hall 3, Key Information Technology displays an array of Dell products, including Dell Optiplex GX260, Dell Latitude C840 and Dell Latitude X200, while in Hall 5, Sakhr Software will be using Dell for their stand to run their software demonstrations.
Computer Associates, also in Hall 5, will be running a variety of solutions which require enterprise level machines to run on Dell servers, desktops and flat-screen monitors. The four solutions are enterprise management solution - Unicenter, showing options on enterprise management applications, databases and networks; security solution - e-Trust, showing threat management and how to manage user access of a Dell machine from the operating system point of view; storage solution - Brightsor, showing high availability options of backup, recovery and storage resource management (SRM); and the fourth is an information management solution showing project and process management.
