F&E Aerospace & Halldale sign deal to launch aerospace training show

  • United Arab Emirates: Sunday, June 14 - 2009 at 08:41
  • PRESS RELEASE

F&E Aerospace has joined with Halldale Media Group to launch the first-ever aerospace training show, the one-stop solution to the growing demand across the Middle East for civil and military aerospace training, recruitment and simulation.

The inaugural Aerospace & Defence Training Show (ADTS) will be held from 3 to 4 March 2010 at Dubai Airport Expo and is supported by the UAE Armed Forces, the Arab Air Carriers Association, Dubai Airports, Emirates Airline and Emirates Aviation College-Aerospace & Academic Studies.

The contract was signed between Alison Weller, Director of F&E Aerospace, and Andy Smith, President of Halldale Media Group.

Ms Weller expressed her appreciation for Halldale's support of the debut ADTS show, adding: "Despite the uncertain economic climate currently affecting the global aerospace industry, the Middle East region continues to buck the trend. We are confident that ADTS will go a long way in addressing the current shortage of skilled aviation personnel within the Middle East region and in providing a platform for fruitful discussion on the way forward for the aerospace training industry."

ADTS will incorporate two, parallel conferences, aimed at tackling issues within the civil and military aerospace industry. The airline training conference will be led by Halldale's CAT magazine; the other, on defence training, will be led by its MS&T magazine.

Mr. Smith of Halldale commented: "We look forward to working with F&E Aerospace to bring these two conferences to our colleagues in the Middle East.

"The benefits of simulation for airline and air force training have been amply demonstrated in improved safety and effectiveness over many years and the current rate of technological advance has resulted in an even greater cost-benefit in best using these devices. This is coupled with recent and ongoing regulatory change for the civil sector making 2010 the ideal time to address these topics with both aviation communities."

The supporting exhibition will feature companies offering the most up-to-date training courses and simulation equipment and programmes, in addition to recruitment agencies, vocational and academic institutes and universities.

ADTS aims to attract visitors from airlines, airports and air forces, as well as professionals in HR and training & development, students, trainees and apprentices.
