Due to DSA being able to access Tejari global member network, DSA has to date participated in more than 380 online auctions and has averaged 126 auctions per year or approximately 10 auctions per month.
Mr. Harish Bangera, the Managing Director of Dubai Source Advertising has this to say about his company's experience using Tejari marketplace, "This year we reached good level for our operations with an average of 70% to 80% of all of our transactions going online. We feel that doing business online via the Tejari marketplace is more efficient and transparent than the old way of using communications over the phone."
In order to manage its growing online auction activity, DSA has a team of three professionals to handle the auctions on Tejari. Furthermore, Mr. Bangera emphasized that Tejari gave DSA an advantage when dealing with their clients because trading online resulted in faster communication that made it easier for DSA to submit timely quotes.
He, said:
"Now Tejari helps us to give quotes to clients on time, and the speed of our responses plays an important role for our clients."
Mr Bangera and his online auction team at DSA generally expressed a high degree of satisfaction in using Tejari B2B marketplace. They felt that no additional changes were needed; that no obstacles remained to be overcome to facilitate their efficient use of Tejari platform; and that they appreciated being able to obtain business support from Tejari.
Furthermore, since joining Tejari network, DSA has benefited from a stable flow of orders for their BTL advertising products and services from both private companies and governmental organizations. For example, one of the more interesting projects that was recently successfully bid on and fulfilled by DSA was the construction of the Formula One tent in the Dubai Duty Free. In addition, companies such as Leo Burnett, EK Printing Outsourcing,
The Emirates Group (P&L Services), and other companies regularly conduct business transactions with Dubai Source Advertising using online auctions. In March and April 2009 estimated value of auctions participated by DSA reached $212,500.
