UK donates Dhs1.1m for joint research

The UAE has secured more than Dhs1.1m from the United Kingdom as part of the British Prime Minister's Initiative (PMI2) Connect research co-operation programme, which is designed to boost joint research by higher education institutions in the UK and the Gulf states. 'We are in no doubt that higher education; including research, depends upon international interaction and collaboration,' said Martin Prince, registrar at the British University in Dubai.
