The 8th Arab Media Forum, held on May 11&12 and attended by well over 2000 prominent media persons and policy makers from across the world, stood out in terms of both the quality of the discussions as well as the issues that were taken up over two days in various sessions and workshops.

Muna Al Marri, Chairperson of Dubai Press Club, used the occasion to thank the staff and the partners, who "played a remarkable role in turning the event into a great success."

Al Marri said:
"The success of the 8th Media Forum was unprecedented not only in terms of participation and topics, but also in terms of logistical and technical arrangements, regional representation and overall planning. The young team at the Press Club has shown that they are equal to any task assigned to them, however hard it is a beaming."

"The network of relationships they have developed across the region and beyond is incredibly vast and at all levels. Our human resources are our real capital and they are the core strength behind the success of Emirati organizations. I am really proud of our people. I would also like to thank all our partners and supporters in the government and the private sector. Last but not the least, my gratitude goes to the young students , who volunteered to extend their hands of support to the team and truly made a difference," Al Marri added.
