Oasis Centre reveals plans for DSS

Oasis Centre, the newly re-launched family friendly mall today announced a series of special festivities to give shoppers a truly exciting and rewarding experience during the 2009 Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) which is scheduled to run from 11 June to 14 August 2009.

The highlight of festivities at Oasis Centre during DSS would be a first-of-its kind game show called 'Memory Mania'.

The highly interactive family game show will be organized every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday starting from 24 June. Contestants will be shown a wide variety of items and asked to recall and win as many as possible within 30 seconds.

Hidden within some of the items will be bonus prizes including flight tickets, jewelries and more. In the last two weeks of DSS, the game show will have special competitions for children playing for back-to-school items. Also, Oasis Centre has partnered with Joyalukkas to give away diamond jewelries.

As part of a Dubai-wide DSS promotion, Oasis Centre will offer shoppers the opportunity of winning cash each week starting 11 June 2009. Cash is expected to be won during the nine weeks of DSS. Furthermore, shoppers at Oasis Centre will be randomly selected for voucher prizes in line with the spirit of 'summer surprises'.

Other in-mall events to mark the DSS festivities at Oasis Centre include 'Dubai Chef of the Year' competition which will bring together about 700 top chefs from hotels and restaurants across Dubai. The competition which will run for seven days will produce Dubai Chef of the Year.

Also, the variety of retail concepts in Oasis Centre will run in-store promotions to provide shoppers with a most rewarding value driven experience. Top retail brands like Home Centre, Splash, Gourmet Station, Nike, Ecco, New Look and many more would be offering up to 75% discount or special summer promotions.
