World renowned DJ inaugurates new facility at SAE Institute

The DJ room facility is equipped with a comprehensive analogue and digital DJ setup for students to understand the distinction between analogue vinyl & and MP3 and other digital music formats to become skilled at their craft.

DJ Shortee also conducted a two-hour workshop on Serato products from Rane, and offered great advice to students on how to become a successful DJ. The event at the Dubai Knowledge Village campus provided all students with a unique opportunity to interact and learn from DJ Shortee's rich knowledge including her trademark scratching techniques and beat juggling.

DJ Shortee's visit to SAE came as part of her tour across the US, Europe, and the Middle East.
DJ Shortee is recognized as one of the most diverse and technically skilled female DJs in the world, with her career highlighted by an unparalleled series of firsts.

The first and only female 'World Class Power Mixer' on Power 106FM (LA), she is also the first female to produce an instructional DJ DVD series, first and only female to produce a 'turntablist album', first female to produce a battle record, first female DJ endorsed by Shure, first and only female endorsee of Rane, and first and only female DJ endorsed by Cakewalk.

A head professor at The Scratch DJ Academy, co-founded by RUN DMC's Jam Master Jay, Shortee teaches three courses (Mixing151, Scratching202 and Beatjuggling303) at SAE's Los Angeles branch.
