At the event, Tecom will provide career counseling as well as accept resumes from Emiratis keen on exploring suitable work placements.
The initiative comes as part of Tecom's broader strategy to identify the most qualified candidates and help build the country's workforce while ensuring UAE nationals receive significant workplace experience.
Abdullatif Almulla, Group Chief Executive Officer of Tecom Investments, said:
"This initiative is in-line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to support nationals so they become the preferred employees in strategic sectors through education and skills development, as well as equip nationals with the life skills required for living in a rapidly changing environment. Emiratisation and ensuring the development of UAE nationals is part of our core corporate philosophy at Tecom Investments, and this event reflects our sincere endeavour to provide nationals with an opportunity to gain employment at one of the most successful organizations in the UAE."
Almulla added, "As an operator of nine distinct knowledge-based industry clusters spanning the ICT and media industries to energy, biotechnology and education, Tecom Investments is uniquely positioned to offer potential applicants with a wide variety of opportunities. We believe fresh graduates as well as experienced professionals looking for better job prospects will find interesting options at Tecom. In the current economic climate, where many organizations have put a freeze on recruitments, Tecom Investments is organizing this event as part of its strong commitment to the Emiritisation drive of the Dubai government."
The UAE nationals attending the event will be shown presentations on Tecom Investments and its business clusters such as Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, Dubai Knowledge Village, Dubai Studio City, International Media Production Zone, Dubai Outsource Zone, Dubai International Academic City, DuBiotech and ENPARK. Senior managers from Tecom and its group entities will also be on hand to answer any query related to the job or technical requirements.
Dr Amina Alrustamani, CEO, Tecom Business Parks, said:
"Our recruiting policy is designed to attract outstanding applicants from among the UAE nationals, and despite the current economic situation, we are continuing to hire nationals. At the same time, Tecom is proud to be a leading advocate of Emiratisation, and this programme is a testament to our determination."
Tecom Investments has implemented several Emiratisation initiatives such as the 'Mustaqbali' programme, a training and development plan that seeks to encourage the recruitment and capacity building of UAE nationals, and 'Fursatie', a similar concept targeting high school graduates.
