Minister of Transportation, Mayor of Amman visit Abdali project

The Abdali New Downtown where construction is well underway has been witnessing site visits from prominent local, regional and international personalities since the start of the year 2009.
H.E. Eng. Maani, hailed the progress made till date and ascertained that the Abdali project is a modern smart urban landmark, that will contribute in positioning the city of Amman as a major business and touristic destination on both the regional and international levels.
He added, "The Abdali New Downtown, with its state-of-the-art services and its unique architecture comes as the culmination of His Majesty King Abdullah II ideas, vision and efforts to ensure Amman and its citizens receive the finest."
And to conclude, H.E. Eng. Al Maani expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all the concerned parties working on this vital project.
Mr Itani gave the tour to H.E the Minister of Transportation and the Mayor of Amman sharing with them the vision and progress of the project, stating: "The construction pace of the first phase of the project is moving as planned, and today the site holds over 50% of the cranes operating in Jordan while it employs around 10,000 workers working in shifts around the clock."
He added, "The Abdali new downtown played a key role in attracting major foreign investors who believed in the project's vision and hence we hold a great responsibility in ensuring sustainability and delivery on time."
The first phase of the new Abdali Downtown Project which offers a built up area of around one million sqm has been sold completely to individual developers who have, in turn, already sold and rented a significant number of units, both residential, commercial and retail shops to end users. Consequently, with the speed of construction that the project is experiencing now, the first phase of the project will be mostly completed by end 2010. The new Abdali Downtown project is the largest in Amman, the capital of Jordan, in terms of its magnitude and impact on the various sectors and activities. Through its collaboration with renowned multinational developers, it has created a core hub and city centre which offers the highest level of technology and a foundation for future business and investment opportunities.
