Huawei Symantec showcases unique network security and storage products at Symantec Partner Summit

The move is in line with the company's strategy to maximise the regional market as well as the global network security industry, which according to recent statistics is projected to hit $9.5bn by 2015. Official representatives from authorised distributors Mindware and Tech Access were also present at the event.

The highlighted products, which are currently available in the MENA, include the OceanStor S2600 Series, an entry-level disk array that provides optional host connectivities of Fibre Channel (FC), Internet SCSI (iSCSI) or Serial Attached SCSI (SAS), and SAS/Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) drive in the back end. Other products showcased at the event included the OceanStor VIS6000 series of storage virtualisation gateways, which can be used to consolidate heterogeneous storage systems or as a data migration tool; and the OceanStor N8000, a Linux-based distributed network attached storage (NAS) system that is built on Veritas Storage Foundation technology.
