The main objective of the PEPY foundation, which stands for 'Protect the Earth, Protect Yourself' is to aid rural communities of Cambodia in improving their own standards of living, with a focus on increased access to quality education. In Dubai, it is represented by a group of six volunteers who have dedicated their time and efforts to support the foundation. The latest project is an unfinished high school which is still under construction and is short on funds.
To help raise funds, the six volunteers will be holding a gala dinner at the DIFC on June 22nd, 2009 on behalf of the PEPY foundation where they will share the success of its various projects and continue with its fund-raising initiatives for underprivileged children in Cambodia. Daniela Papi, the founder of PEPY will also be attending the event along with other guests.
Bareface Entertainers will be participating by volunteering for the entertainment during the event. Various performers including stilt-walkers, fire eaters, and celebrity look-alikes will be amongst those performing.
The event will also feature both a silent and live auction.
