The 66 lifeguards patrolling the waterpark will have all undergone some of the most extensive training and achieved the most respected qualifications in order to guarantee the well being of the waterpark's guests.

The highest calibre instructors were flown into Bahrain from the UK and Dubai to make sure that the lifeguards are not just adequately trained, but that they are the best in their field.

All lifeguards at the region's largest temperature-controlled aquatic theme park have gone through the 48 hours UK Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) and National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) training by the Dubai Based PRM international, who flew trainers in from Dubai and the United Kingdom. The waterpark lifeguards have been in training for 18 hours a week in Life Guarding Theory and Pool Management, Aquatic Rescue Techniques, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and First Aid and Incident Management.

In addition to that, all 66 lifeguards at Wahooo! waterpark have undergone a further 16 hours of Advanced First Aid training.

Sixteen guards will also undergo Medical Incident Training, which includes defibrillation (heart starting) and oxygen supply techniques, proving Wahooo! waterpark's total commitment to the safety of its guests.

Damien Latham, General Manager of Wahooo! waterpark, said safety has to be the number one priority.

Latham said:
"We expect the highest level of service and quality from every member of the Wahooo! team, and nowhere is this more important than the lifeguards."

"We wanted them to have more than just normal training, we wanted them to be the best we could possibly offer. Our guests deserve to know that they are in safe hands, and the Wahooo! lifeguards can give them that confidence," he added.

Wahooo! Waterpark, which is located at Bahrain City Centre in Manama is spread over an area of 15,000 square metres and is home to a number of thrilling rides. It boasts of a 230-meter Masterblaster Rollercoaster and a four lane matt racer which will surely put to test the aquatic skills of many thrill seekers.

The training company PRM international is a training centre accredited to the UK based RLSS and flew in trainers from the UK and Dubai to train the staff of the upcoming waterpark.
