The campaign forms part of the department's periodic inspection schedule of all facilities and institutions which fall under its jurisdiction, and is aimed at meeting job licenses standards.

The department's campaign has thus far resulted in the closing down of some facilities due to their failure in meeting the necessary requirements, and the clear violation of the legislation and listings made by the Sharjah Economic Development Department.

Says a SEDD official:
"The department is conducting further investigations on the reported facilities, and is monitoring all procedures carried out to ensure that no further complications arise as several serious issues. The Sharjah Economic Development Department has provided a deadline by which all laws and conditions should be applied."

The SEDD calls on all facilities to comply with the laws and legislations, stating that periodic investigation campaigns will take place to ensure that practice requirements are adhered to. The department also praised the inspectors' awareness and work efficiency.
