New Hummer H3 V8 SUV to debut in Qatar

Qatar's Hummer enthusiasts will not have long to wait now until the launch of the 2009 H3 SUV model, which is being introduced by multi-award winning Mannai Trading Co., the company responsible for launching a wide range of GM vehicles into the Qatari market.

The latest "baby Hummer" has a range of new specifications including a 5.3 litre V8 MFI engine which delivers 300hp (224kW) at 5200 rpm and 320 lb-ft of torque (432 Nm) at 4000 rpm. The brakes are fitted with 4-wheel antilock, 4-wheel discs with a unique calibration for 4Lo mode. The rear axle is set to a higher ratio - 4.10 compared with the previous 4.56 - which is the same as on the H2 model. There is even a new rear-view camera system fitted as standard and a feature called StabiliTrak to assist with hill starts.

Mannai Trading Co.- which has recently been awarded a string of accolades for its after sales network, Parts Manager Excellence Programme, Fleet Excellence, Service Excellence and Customer Relationship Management - expects strong demand for test drives of the new Hummer.

Fawzi Al Abtah, Mannai's Premium Brands Manager, advises anyone who would like to try out the new car to book their test drive as early as possible.

"The new H3 V8 has arrived to the state of Qatar, and we at Mannai Trading Co. expect all the test drive slots to be fully taken up. To avoid disappointment, I would strongly recommend anyone who is interested in trying out this amazing new machine to book now to avoid having the hassle of waiting in a long line for slots as they become available,"
