He has had an innovative practice in asset tracing and the enforcement of judgments and awards, and expert advisory work on Arab laws and has frequently been appointed as an arbitrator, especially in disputes concerning Arab and Islamic jurisdictions; he also acts as mediator.
Hoyle, who holds a PhD from SOAS, and is a Visiting Professor at the University of Leeds, said of his new role:

Fiona Campbell, previously of London firm Finers Stephens Innocent, will also join the firm's arbitration practice as a senior associate and will work closely with Hoyle. Campbell who played a pivotal role as a leading lawyer in the Hutton enquiry in the UK has top level experience as commercial legal practitioner and is ranked highly for practice in international commercial litigation and arbitration. Hoyle and Campbell join Al Tamimi & Company's team of eleven arbitration specialists.
The firm will also be bolstering their construction practice with the announcement of new hire Steven Hunt as regional head of the department. Hunt is best known in the region for his previous position as senior legal counsel and head of construction and projects for Dubai based property developer, Nakheel.
Whilst with Nakheel, Hunt was responsible for implementing an intranet based procurement system for construction services and supplies and the introduction of standardized contracts for use throughout Dubai World companies. Prior to his role at Nakheel, Hunt established and headed up the construction and civil engineering department at the Dubai based law firm Masons Galadari.
