On show will be anatomically accurate models of familiar insects blown up to a massive 400 times of their size together with theatrical displays of these creatures in their habitat and information panels.
Insights into the world of 16 major insects including wasps, stag beetles, purseweb spiders, snails, scorpions and ladybird butterflies in their natural settings will be a memorable hands-on and 'brain-on' experience.
Children will especially love the outsized ladybird chasing tiny creatures up the rose stem. The ladybird is shown as a fierce hunter and the gardener's friend, and a formidable baby machine.
On the other hand, the rare purseweb spider, which spins a web just below the soil and seizes unwary insects as they walk overhead, is featured lurking behind a web. The huge variety of spiders, their spinning methods and web types and their different attack behaviours are all described.
Derek Rossel, General Manager of Bahrain City Centre describes the latest attraction at the mall as one that will give both adults and children the chance to take a closer look into the world of these creepy crawlies and understand their importance in maintaining the ecological balance.
"And it's not just education, it's a whole lot of fun, you'll be in awe of the fantastic display, it's so real. There are some interactive activities as well that will have the kids wanting to keep coming back for more,"
said Rossel.
