The training courses form part of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs and Ruwad's joint strategic plan, which aims to enable UAE young women to play a greater role in the nationwide social and economic development process. Empowering UAE women in all walks of life will be an important step in the transformation from a consumer society into a creative society.
Ruwad continues its role of enhancing young nationals' capabilities and promoting the culture of self-employment among the younger generation. Ruwad's sponsorship of this event reflects its unwavering commitment to being a main contributor to economic welfare by enabling the younger generation to own and run independent small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Commenting on the occasion, H.E. Ahmed Mohammed Al Midfaa, Chairman of Ruwad, said:
"The programme is part of our strategy to encourage young nationals to own and run SMEs. We seek to support the culture of self-owned business in the pre-academic age (below 19 years), as this age is crucial in determining future directions. Through this workshop, we plan to spread awareness among a creative and energetic group of young women and direct them to capitalize on their talents by establishing their own small and medium enterprises."
"The programme is consistent with the strategic cooperation between Ruwad and the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, and is in line with the vision of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qassimi, Wife of the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs," he added.
Mrs Maryam Ahmed Saeed, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, said, "The programme aims to promote the role of UAE women and enable them to prove their capabilities and contribute to the country's progress".
