The royal fabrics brought to fore the rich weaving tradition of India and the superb craftsmanship that effortlessly blends together the various cultural influences.

Earlier the show opened with a collection of Abayas by the fashion design students of Preston University. The three young designers- Seema Noor, Shafaq Iqbal and Bushra Khatib made use of silver and gold and embroidered belts to set off the traditional black dress.

Natalyia Dolenko followed suit with her collection that made heavy use of sheer net for her short dresses and trousers. Natalyia's sheer dresses paved the way for an ethereal collection of haute couture and bridal gowns by Germen Design.

The Frank Provost Hair Show highlighted that hairstyling is an art in itself and each style can be a statement in itself. The coiffure paved the way for Sulakshana Monga as she set the stage for Indian designs with her beautiful and versatile collection of lehengas, shararas, churidars, flowing gowns and sarees. Inspired by the beauty of flowers, elaborate gold work, sequin, beads and precious stone works on orange, pink and red tissue and silks hallmarked her creations.

The Dubai based German born Iranian designer Ladan Yadollahvand played with bright chiffons and turquoise stones to showcase a very feminine range of tube dresses and gowns. Ancient Grecian and Roman culture had played the muse for Arshia Khan's collection of classic ballroom gowns.

Asif Shah drew his inspiration from the royal family of Bhopal to create an amazingly rich collection of lehangas, churidars and sharwanis that recreated the bygone era of royal splendor. The traditional Indian wear with sleek western cuts, reflected Asif's mastery at blending colours and offsetting them by stone work, intricate minakari and zardosi.

Anita Dongre was yet another designer who won audience applause for her 'Timeless Collection' as she combined silk, velvet, and crushed fabric sourced from the traditional looms of Calcutta. Rich contracts, varied styles, rich gold zari work by master craftsmen of India combined with sleek cuts to give a western edge to eclectic range of churidars, shararas, shirts and harem trousers.

Amato closed the 3rd day of DFF with his collection that inspired by the chic Arabic haute couture. Beautiful accessories accentuated the bright coloured collection that was generous on crystals and net.

Nabeela Couture will open the last day of DFF 2009. The London based Anna Unger who handcrafts each creation directly onto a mannequin or the client for a perfect fit, to create individualized pieces would be another designers to watch out for.

Among the other designers showcasing their clothes would be Prama, Miss Magou, Mimi Fashion, Rocky Gathercole. The DFF ambassador in Europe Larisa Katz will showcase her collection Sacred Geometry.

The major highlight of today's event flow would be the best designer award ceremony . The winner of the award will get an assured participation in an international fashion week.

The curtains will fall down on the successful edition of DFF-09 as India's very own king of haute couture and designer of international fame JJ Valaya showcases his highly acclaimed collection, 'The Kingdom of Love.'
