DWC honors outstanding graduates, students and employees at End of Year celebration event

Dubai Women's College (DWC) celebrated on Wednesday the end of 2008/2009 academic year with an End of Year event, honoring distinguished graduates, DWC students and staff for their continuous support of the College.
This year's keynote speaker was Hala Badri, a DWC graduate who currently holds the position of Executive Vice President of Brand & Communications at Du.
Hala is a two times winner of Sheikh Rashid Award for Scientific Excellence. She also completed the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Leadership Development Programme in 2008.
Since this year DWC celebrates its 20th anniversary, the event began with a presentation of college achievements and accomplishments.
The focus was on the Elite principles:
Excellence, Leadership, Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship, principles DWC is proud to have been successfully developing for the last two decades, and which are visible in the number of awards DWC students won last year including Mr. & Mrs. Right: Dubai Style - Gulf Film Festival, Sheikh Mohammed Center for Cultural and Social Understanding in the 2nd Talent Festival, Tamaiaz & Falak Tayyeb Award, Emerald Literati Network 2009 Awards for Excellence, and Abu Dhabi Industry Awards.
Following the presentation, a number of outstanding DWC students, staff and graduates were honored for their excellence in "practicing the future", DWC's slogan. Awards were presented by DWC long standing director and pioneer in education - Dr. Howard Reed.
The event was filled with excitement to celebrate another successful year, and all attending staff were entered into a draw, sponsored by Deira City Center, Expressions Flowers, Bello Bus Rental and Kuwality Printing enabling them to win valuable gifts and CityGift vouchers from Deira City Center.
