ADNH contracts Al Jaber Group to construct Park Hyatt Hotel and Villas on Saadiyat Island

UAE hospitality group Abu Dhabi National Hotels has awarded Al Jaber Engineering and Contracting LLC the contract to commence building the luxury Park Hyatt Hotel and Villas Abu Dhabi, a 75,000 sq. m. luxury resort of premium accommodation, dining and leisure facilities on the northern beach of Saadiyat Island.

The Saadiyat Park Hyatt Hotel and Villas, scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2011, will have 316 rooms, suites and villas in addition to 4 signature restaurants and dedicated facilities for conferences, banqueting and recreation.

According to the agreement signed today, A.L.E.C., the main contractor for this world class development, will be responsible for all construction, building and finishing works for the hotel, its facilities and villas. This includes construction of the building's foundation, shell and envelope, as well as interior finishes including fixtures, furniture and fittings.

ADNH Chairman H.E. Saif Mohammed Al Hajeri and attended this morning's signing ceremony with senior officials from Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority and the Tourism Development and Investment Company, master developers of the mixed-use leisure, housing and culture destination.

HE Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan praised the excellent accomplishments of ADNH in the UAE, which ushered international and leading brands to establish and manage some of the world's most luxurious hotels and resorts here in the UAE. "Such moves help boost the UAE's travel and tourism sector into new horizons by providing the relevant infrastructure. This reiterates Abu Dhabi's position as a whole and Saadiyat in particular, turning them into leading touristic destinations across the region." His Excellency added.

Located on the north beach of the Island, the Park Hyatt will be surrounded by a golf course and boast a nine-kilometre stretch of pristine natural beach where guests can watch dolphins or visit the island's natural turtle-nesting habitats. The resort will be located adjacent to the Cultural District, which will house the world-famous Louvre and Guggenheim museums in Abu Dhabi.
