Chopra performed her distinctive interpretation of traditional Indian ghazals in front of an audience of 400 VIP guests at the Indian Embassy.

Ghazals are a form of poetry sung in rhyming couplets, which invariably explore themes of love, pain and loss. Ghazals originated in pre-Islamic Arabia before spreading to South Asia in the 12th century.
