AIESEC Jordan organizes 'Youth Leadership for an Emerging Jordan' and its sixth national conference

AIESEC Jordan, the national branch of the world's largest youth organization, organized 'Youth Leadership for an Emerging Jordan' on Thursday June 11th, 2009 at Talal Abu Ghazaleh Business Faculty.
His Excellency Aqel Beltaji Advisor of His Majesty King Abduallah II, opened this occasion with an inspiring speech for the youth where he mentioned the role of active youth in building the country and making the change, and he also admonished the royal vision of youth and their role in creating the renaissance.
Then a panel consists of Mr. Salah Al tayyeh, the CEO of MEPower, Ms. Ma'ali Qasem from Schema company, Ms. Suha Al najjar from Princess Sumaya Youth Center and Ms Hala Hatamleh a student in Yarmouk University, discussed the keynote speech and tried to build on it through sharing their experiences with the audience under the moderating of Mr. Hadi Alfarra the general manager of 4P's company the advertising partner for this event.
The panel discussion was followed by a group of workshops covering issues about entrepreneurship, environmental sustainability and social engagement, given to the youth audience of the event.
The outputs of the event were taking and discussed in AIESEC's sixth national conference "TACTIC" which was sponsored by NAFES "National Fund for Enterprise Support" the main partner of the conference and Jordan Innovation Center at Al Hassan Industrial Estate the logistical partner of the conference.
The conference took place in Jeresh on June 12th & 13th, 2009 where it included defining the direction of the organization for the coming year, where AIESEC Jordan always strives to drive its efforts to create changing agents among the youth to develop themselves & their community.
AIESEC the world's largest youth organization was established in 1948, it includes 35,000 members from 1,700 universities in 107 countries around the world. AIESEC Jordan was established in 2006 with two local chapters in Amman and Irbid. AIESEC aims to spread awareness among students about critical issues in their community, provide them with the needed skills to develop and discover their potentials and advance their involvement in their local community and the world issues. Currently AIESEC Jordan consists of more than 100 active members.
