The one metre tall rectangle aquarium which stretches nearly two metres is now the centerpiece at the function hall. Handmade using 100 percent acrylic, the tank is completely child-safe. Originally a marine aquarium, it has been specially converted to the fresh water system for easy and cost effective maintenance by the center.

Managing Director of GAC Dubai Peter Bengtsson says that many GAC staff and offices have been supporting the Centre on a regular basis, and when GAC Dubai wanted to donate the aquarium Al Noor Training Centre naturally sprung to mind.

"Al Noor is a great institution committed to helping special needs children. It offers a service to the society that few other schools or persons do. We are proud to contribute and be associated with the centre. We hope that the children will be stimulated by the splendour of the aqua-world,"

said William Nisser, Group Treasurer of GAC Group, who is also a member of the Rotary Club of Jumeirah which donated the colourful aqua-scape.

Expressing her thanks at the gift and active involvement from the corporate sector, Ms Isphana Al Khatib, Director of the Al Noor Training Center says that the students are fascinated about the new arrivals.

"We hope to engage them in the process of taking care of the aquarium in the future such as feeding the fishes as well as to do simple cleaning. In addition to learning new skills, the children will also take greater ownership in the process."
