The annual conference was organised by Dubai Quality Group at the Al Ras Ballroom in Intercontinental Hotel, Dubai Festival City, inviting winners of the Dubai Quality Award (DQA), Dubai Human Development Award (DHDA) and Dubai Service Excellence Scheme (DSES) to share organisational best practices with an elite audience of industry and business leaders.
Winners of the awards also showcased the niche capabilities of their respective organisations in a dedicated exhibition organised concurrently at the 'Share Best Practice 2009' conference.
In his address, Billy Daly highlighted Dubai Properties' best practices on leadership that led to its achieving the Dubai Quality Award 2009 in the 'Real Estate' category.
He said:
"Continuous improvements and evolving best operational practices are an important part of our group excellence philosophy. Our participation in this year's event allowed us to share our values, goals and vision with the local business community. Modern leadership is no longer about leading an organization. It is about coaching, training, promoting and recognizing talent within the organization. Consequently, Dubai Properties has instituted several internal training programmes in order to provide the necessary platform for developing and empowering our employees to lead the organization in the future."
In its endeavour to drive leadership and growth among various layers of the organization, Dubai Properties seeks to bring innovative services and breakthrough developments to the market. The master developer is currently implementing a variety of developments in Dubai including the Business Bay, The Villa, Al Waha villas and Culture Village.
