RTA donates 25 mini buses to UAE Red Crescent

The announcement was made during a meeting between Public Transport Agency and UAE Red Crescent Authority (Dubai Branch) attended by Essa Abdul Rahman Al Dossari, CEO of Public Transport Agency, and Director General of UAE Red Crescent Authority (Dubai Branch) Mohammed Abdullah Al Haj Al Zaarooni at the Head Office of Public Transport Agency, Muhaisana 4 in the presence of several directors and managers from both sides.

Mr. Al Dossari, said that RTA was always keen to support the efforts of the UAE as a whole and Dubai emirate in particular that aim at lending support to sister and friendly countries across the world to alleviate the plight and losses caused by wars and natural disasters sustained by citizens of those countries.

"All RTA agencies constantly seek to give a helping hand internally and externally as part of their corporate responsibilities towards various segments of the community. This initiative is a true reflection and a simple contribution from the UAE peoples to our anguished brothers and friends throughout the globe" said Al Dossari.

He added:

"The donation, however small it is, is a human investment and a noble action to help and rehabilitate distressed people, be it individuals or entities. Such initiatives will boost the efforts made to make the suffering people feel that losses sustained, however huge and multiple they might be, are beatable by the good & benevolent donors."

For his part the Director General of UAE Red Crescent Authority (Dubai Branch) Mohammed Abdullah Al Haj Al Zarooni lauded the noble gesture of the RTA represented by Public Transport Agency. He hailed RTA efforts to raise the global profile of the emirate of Dubai through undertaking several road and infrastructure projects to widen and boost public transport sector in the emirate.

Al Zarooni added: "The UAE Red Crescent Authority (Dubai Branch) keeps in high regards RTA initiative to donate 25 mini buses; which underscores the ongoing efforts of the RTA to support the efforts of Dubai Government departments and assist them realize their goals and objectives".
