Du launches 'Music Challenge'

Du, the UAE's integrated telecom operator, today launched 'Music Challenge', a unique and innovative road show offering music lovers the opportunity to explore their DJ talent.

The road show will take place next to the Grand Cinestar at Mall of the Emirates, Dubai, between 15 June and 14 July, and at the Abu Dhabi Marina Mall between 18 June and 13 August.

Du's Music Challenge offers everyone a chance to try their hand at remixing music using real DJ equipment. Remixes can then be uploaded to www.moretalkmoremusic.ae or du.ae/moretalkmoremusic where users can not only share their remixes with friends through facebook or email, but also get them to comment and vote on them.

Participants have a chance to win attractive weekly and grand prizes when their remixes top the voting poll.

Farid Faraidooni, EVP Commercial, Du, commented, "Music is the pulse of many young people, and the Du Music Challenge will allow music lovers in the UAE to express themselves musically. This platform offers participants a chance to perform with Celebrity DJs as well as win attractive prizes like BlackBerry handsets and More Talk More Music packs. What's more, the winners may even have their remixes aired on the local radio."

Celebrity DJs FlashB and Shero will mix their beats every weekend on Fridays and Saturdays during the roadshow to guide participants and entertain mall visitors.

Format of the Music Challenge road show:


After a short instruction session, visitors will be invited to mix away to a music track for 30 seconds - which will then be sent to the visitor's email address and uploaded on du.ae/moretalkmoremusic; where website visitors can listen to the tracks, comment on them, download them for free and vote for their favourites, or just discuss music topics online.

Du's Music Challenge stands are located at Mall of the Emirates in Dubai (next to Cinestar) and at Abu Dhabi Marina Mall.
