Grand Hyatt Doha launches Jaula Spa

Jaula, meaning journey in Arabic, takes each person on a journey of inner calm. Set in a beautifully landscaped garden at the landmark Grand Hyatt Doha, Jaula Spa offers signature treatments that focus on ritualistic approaches using fine European treatments and therapies with indigenous Arabian touches.

Jaula Spa Director Karunanithi M said the spa menu of services was specifically designed to incorporate elements of Qatar's natural heritage.

"Hyatt believes in writing a spa discovery plan, we have to be really specific to respecting local culture and incorporating that into our spa treatments," he said.

Jaula is one of the Hyatt Pure spas, which are each designed individually to be authentic to their local environment and culture.

Today, there are more than 70 unique Hyatt Pure spas worldwide, ranging from Amara at the Park Hyatt in Dubai to Anara in Kauai, Hawaii to Amanary at the Grand Hyatt in Sao Paolo, Brazil. Each treatment at Jaula has been meticulously researched.

"Jaula's concept of 'Passages and Journeys' focuses on spiritual cleanliness, each guest is taken on a custom spa journey designed to meet their needs. The spa incorporates the five senses into each experience, touch, sight, sound, smell and taste; each sense is a journey of its own."

Karu said.

"At Jaula, each treatment uses a blend of natural essential oils and freshly cut herbs that heal the body in the most natural way and awaken the senses," he added.

Therapies include the 'Spa Princess Body Ritual', a pampering treatment that takes three hours, and the 'Ultimate Bridal Journey of Anne Semonin', a made-to-measure beauty indulgence that lasts for six blissful hours.

Grand Hyatt Doha General Manager Garry Friend said the hotel had, since opening in March this year, established itself as a Doha icon and Jaula will further enhance the hotel's popularity.

"Jaula Spa will set new a new standard for others to follow," Friend said. "The smell, music and design of Jaula spa reflects Qatar's heritage and Arabian inspirations."

Jaula also incorporates a state of the art gym, indoor and outdoor pools and a pristine white sand private beach. Memberships will be available for singles, couples and families.
