SNTTA foresees increased demand for outbound travel and tourism in niche areas in Abu Dhabi, such as golf tourism, medical tourism, cruises and other leisure packages.
Similarly, the government's aggressive drive to create world class infrastructure and develop iconic projects, such as Yas Marina F1 circuit, The Louvre Abu Dhabi and Guggenheim Museum and master-planned island developments, will boost inbound tourism further.
"Abu Dhabi is witnessing significant growth on all fronts, driven by the government's masterplan to make it one of the leading cities of the world. As a reputed travel management company with over three decades of experience in catering to top-notch corporate and retail clients, SNTTA is fully geared to extend its high-standard travel services to the growing population of Abu Dhabi,"said David Milican, Senior General Manager, SNTTA Emir Tours and Travel.
SNTTA's new Abu Dhabi outlet, which incorporates both inbound and outbound travel divisions, has already started working on plans to open new outlets in other areas of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, as part of the three-year strategy.
"By launching our operations in economically challenging times, SNTTA seeks to deliver the message that Abu Dhabi is least affected by the global financial crisis. It also reflects our vote of confidence in the emirate's plans for the future," Milican added.
With 18 travel and tour outlets in Dubai, Sharjah and Northern Emirates, SNTTA has been registering year-on-year growth of over 25% during the past five years. SNTTA was the first travel company in the UAE to achieve the ISO 9001 certification in 1999.
"These are very exciting times for SNTTA, with the regional and global tourism industry showing signs of recovery," said Milican. "The sentiment is positive, more so in Abu Dhabi, as indicated by the interest shown by corporates and the number of inquiries and walk-in customers witnessed since the opening of the Najda Street outlet."
