Eton offers Mandarin Chinese course as CSR initiative in July

An entire beginner level of a featured language is offered free every month as part of its CSR initiative and commitment to giving back to the community.

So far the institute has already offered free courses in Arabic, German, French and Microsoft Office 2007 with hundreds of people learning a new language and enhancing their skills.

Dr. Eli Abi Rached, Managing Director of Eton Institute, commented:

"Research has proved time and again that people who speak more than one language have more career options, build stronger relationships with colleagues and clients, get promoted often and move up the pay scale faster than their one-language colleagues."

"Being able to speak, the language of client countries tells people you want to do business with them and you value and respect the relationship you share with them and their culture," Dr. Eli said.

Mandarin Chinese is the fastest growing language today. An estimated 30 million people are believed to be learning Mandarin across the globe. As China rises as an economic giant, many see Mandarin as the key skill to have to maintain or increase their viability in the global economy.

"Students who can put, 'Fluent in Mandarin' on their résumés are seeing the payoff as they stand out and get picked for their multi-lingual abilities." Dr. Eli said.

The free Mandarin Chinese course will begin on 05 July and will run three times a week on Sundays, Tuesdays & Thursdays from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Interested people are encouraged to book early as there are limited places available and places are offered on a first come first serve basis.
