Malabar Gold opens 28th outlet in Lulu Hypermarket, Qusais

Malabar Gold, India jewellery group with a significant presence in India and the Middle East, has opened its 28th global outlet in the UAE at Lulu Hypermarket in Qusais, Dubai.

Padma Shri Yusuff Ali M.A, Managing Director, EMKE Group, inaugurated the elegant showroom in the presence of several dignitaries and senior managers of Malabar Gold.

The opening of the new outlet follows the recent unveiling by Malabar Gold of two designer jewellery brands - Ethnix and ERA. Padma Shri Mohanlal, leading Indian actor and brand ambassador of Malabar Gold, had launched the two elegant collections, which are on display at the new outlet.

The outlet sports an elegant decor that is typical of all Malabar Gold showrooms, and is managed by experienced sales professionals. It showcases a wide range of exquisite jewellery designs in gold, diamond, platinum and precious stones with designs from Italy, Singapore, Bahrain and India.

Mr Yusuf Ali and Dr Azad Moopen, founder, Dr Moopen's Group, presented the first gold sale to Mr Kunjahamad Haji Panoor. Mr Zakariya Seekan handed over the first diamond sale to Mrs Ajitha Rajive; and the first precious stone jewellery sale was handed over by Mr Yousaff Haj Al Kayam and Mr Karim Venkidangu to Mr Vinod.

Mr. M. P. Shamlal Ahamed, Managing Director - International Operations; Director Mr K. P. Abdulsalam; and MIL Directors Mr K.K. Basheer and Mr. N.M. Noushad were present at the opening.

Mr. M. P. Shamlal Ahamed said:

"The Al Ghusais outlet is the fifth showroom of Malabar Gold in the Middle East and is part of a strategic expansion plan for the region in collaboration with EMKE Group. We will open our sixth showroom in the UAE in Al Ain at the Lulu Hypermarket followed by new outlets at the Al Nada Lulu Hypermarket in August."


Malabar Gold has an ambitious Dhs300m expansion plan for the Middle East region and plans to open a new showroom in Al Wahda Mall, Abu Dhabi; Al Khail Mall in Al Quoz and in select locations in Oman, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
