Mr. Abdullah Al Madani, CEO of Corporate Technical Support Services Sector stated:
"Indicators show that the local economy is recovering following the global credit crunch which took the world economy by storm at the end of last year and created negative repercussions on all world economies, but now the local financial transactions are showing corrective signs."

Saeed Mohammed Al Marri, Director of Contracts and Procurement Dep't hailed the outcome of the gathering which brought together several RTA executives with external partners in the private sector. The event, which was held at Al Bustan Rotana Hotel and organized by Contracts and Procurement Dep't in coordination with Commercial Affairs and Investment Dep't, witnessed participation of all companies dealing with RTA in the field of commercial ads. The gathering discussed several economic & financial local issues in the presence of the Deputy Director of Contracts & Procurement Dep't Hashem Al Hashimi, Deputy Director of Commercial Affairs and Investment Dep't Shehab Al Murr, Manager of Suppliers Affairs Salah Naqi, Manager of Specialist Contracts at Contracts & Procurement Dep't Masoud Al Awadi and a number of employees from the two departments and Company executives.

Commenting on the gathering Al Murri said: "It is the second gathering of its kind held by RTA and is set to be a periodical event after ensuring good results are achieved. It enabled either party to communicate & cooperate with the other party outside the office environment and better understand its tasks and expectations. Attendants discussed how to get out, with the least costs, from the economic downturn which hit the local media market and resulted in cancellation of many forward contracts. RTA is one of the key strategic partners of the private sector in Dubai, and at the forefront of government and private bodies that form the cornerstone of the local ad market; which contributed, for several years, to the business growth and development of this Sector."

"This gathering has given our partners in the advertising market a good opportunity to meet each other, and provided us a wider platform to work as a broad team to review the difficulties facing the advertising market and how to overcome them. It looked into how to boost the mutual relations towards meeting our common objectives in the interest of both parties. In particular they discussed how to benefit from RTA resources and its relationship with the public and private sector towards assisting advertising agencies to overcome some administrative difficulties encountered to deliver excellent services.
