Umniah contributes towards equipping its 6th playground in Marj Al-Hamam

As part of its partnership with the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), Umniah, the fast growing telecom service provider in Jordan, announced its support to the Marj Al-Hamam playground project which was opened by GAM on the 18th of June 2009.

The playground's opening ceremony was attended by H.E. Eng. Omar Al-Maani, Amman Mayor; Mr. Omar Omoush, Umniah's Marketing Director; in addition to several Umniah team members and a group of GAM's employees. Umniah's support involved equipping the play area section within the park, which represents the 6th playground that Umniah has helped establish in Amman aimed at contributing towards establishing facilities with a child friendly and family friendly environment.

Commenting on the company's contribution, Mr. Ihab Hinnawi, Umniah's CEO, said:
"We look forward through our collaboration with GAM to equipping a number of parks and working towards providing them with the necessary amenities and facilities in order to showcase the beauty of different areas in Amman and to encourage citizens to frequently visit these playgrounds."

"This step reflects our belief in the importance of enhancing the partnership between the private and public sector, particularly through projects that yield positive returns to the community. We look forward to continuing our partnership with GAM as well as with various leading local institutions in future projects," added Hinnawi.
