The event is scheduled for July 15, 2009 at the Cairo International Conference Center in the Cheops Hall.

Mostafa Salah, MTI Marketing Manager, said:
"This event is unique in its concept; it is not simply a music concert but is something which aims to give something back to the community. MTI is always eager to take part in events such as Cairology that can contribute in their sheer creativity and energy to the improvement of society."

The event will present for the first time in Egypt the award-winning guitarist Al Di Meola, who for the past 25 years has been known around the world as one of the most prominent guitarists. He has recorded over 21 records throughout his career.

Al Di Meola will be accompanied by his six piece band, New World Sinfonia. In addition to Al Di Meola, the band includes accordionist Fausto Beccalossi, guitarist Peo Alfonsi, percussionist Gumbi Ortiz, Drummer Peter Kaszas, and bass player Victor Miranda.

This one day musical event will not only feature a musical concert but will also bring together some of the community's top people. A key figure is expected to deliver a community-based message focused on developing the Egyptian community. The supported programs at the event will include environment and pollution free approaches, in addition to well-being and a healthy life-style.

Cairology is the revival of Cairo as the cultural center of the new world. The event is expected to be an integrated cultural event that is one of a kind. It aims to introduce world-class culture and arts to Egyptian society. It also intends to connect Egyptian culture to the rest of the world.

The uniqueness of this event is due to the combination of both a musical concert and community development, unlike anything ever held in Cairo before.

This event is expected to take place on a semi-annual basis, with each event featuring a different artist, as well as a different community-based message for developing Egyptian society.
