"We are honored to have received this award which recognizes, Festival Centre amongst the foremost retail experiences across the globe. This achievement highlights the innovation demonstrated in our designs which are guided first and foremost by the local community's needs,"said Cairo Festival City's Senior General Manager, Dr. Mohamed El Mikawi.
Amongst stiff competition, Cairo Festival City's Festival Centre, was able to beat other industry leaders based on their superior designs, concepts and community initiatives. Expected to open in 2011, Festival Centre -located at the heart of the project- will offer more than 300 shops, 100 restaurants and cafes, a hypermarket, a 17 screen cinema complex and a food court. Whilst the outdoor, Festival Village, will offer a wide range of boutiques, restaurants and cafes set alongside landscaped waterfront parks.
Considered amongst the most prestigious of international awards in the retail and leisure industries, the RLI awards are organized by the RLI magazine, a global publication dedicated to those markets. The magazine chose to start this award several years ago, as a way to recognize the outstanding creativity and success of companies in these industries, acknowledging them based on their concepts, initiatives and design excellence.
