Dubai Department of Naturalization and Residency launches the summer training program for students

During the launch of the Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department's (DNRD) summer training program, Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director of DNRD, praised His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, for his ongoing support for students.

He also praised Sheikh Mohammed's emphasis on providing them with the skills and abilities which are vital to the future of the nation.

"In line with this objective, the DNRD Human Resources Development Division has organized a training program for young Emiratis to equip them with the skills necessary to begin their future careers. 100 students from high schools and universities will participate in the program which takes place during their summer vacation. They will gain a unique insight in to the regulatory procedures and processes for day to day transactions at the DNRD," stated Major General Al Marri.

The program, which continues for six weeks for six hours each day, includes many lectures, awareness and entertainment programs, and field visits. The students will be sectioned according to their academic qualifications and experience, as well as their particular areas of interest. The program will be concluded with an honoring ceremony for all participants.

Marwa Sultan Mohammed Darweesh, a student training with the DNRD Human Resources Department said: "This program gives me the opportunity to understand the day to day work of the HR Department as well as its role in attracting the most talented employees and enhancing their skills by providing the necessary training and support."

Mohammed Issa Humaid Al Marri, a trainee with the Sector of Administrative and Financial Affairs added that he is delighted with his participation in this program which allows him to improve his practical skills.

"I am keen to attend all the training modules to gain maximum benefit from this program that allows participants to benefit from a range of practical training, field visits and lectures. It also provides the opportunity to learn about DNRD's ongoing efforts to continually improve their performance and offer the best services for customers."

Students will be required to abide by the set working hours, wear the national dress, and complete the tasks included in the training programs. Participants will be asked to keep the information they have gained in strict confidence as per DNRD's policies.
