DOTW appoints Steve Harrop as General Manager, MEA-CIS/Russia

This sees the consolidation of two key positions within the company and takes advantage of the wide scope of experience and relevant capabilities of Harrop.

Steve Harrop was appointed as the Group Chief Financial Officer of Destinations of the World Group Company in February 2007 after six years of post-qualification experience working at a senior level, including at a FTSE 100 plc and a major international business.

Commenting on the consolidation of the company's two significant positions, Keith Fernandez, Group Managing Director, said:

"Steve is a professional and commercially astute individual who is a fast-learner, has a proactive and pragmatic approach, understands the health and wealth of the company and is an individual who is genuinely respected by all of his colleagues around the world. This consolidation of positions is for no other reason than the natural opening of the General Manager's role and having the good fortune of a talented individual who has significant and relevant experience both inside and outside of this company."

Steve Harrop is currently working on his final dissertation for an MBA from a well-respected international business school. The dissertation is focused on travel industry technology and its commercial impact on the global stage.
