Batelco launches FT2000 Plus

With Batelco's latest offering, Freetime 2000 Plus mobile package, the first offering of its kind in the region, customers can now enjoy up to 3 GB download capacity with internet browsing speed of up to 14.4mbps.

Freetime 2000 Plus (FT2000 Plus) includes all the great features of FT2000 such as 2000 minutes of free talk time and 100 free SMS. The FT2000 Plus package also features HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) with speed up to 14.4mbps and capacity to surf the net and download up to 3GB data per month.

Ahmed Al Janahi, Batelco General Manager Media & Government Relations, said:

"The new 'Plus' add-ons give Batelco's FT2000 subscribers a choice of either 1GB or 3GB capacity providing more flexibility to meet high voice and high-speed internet access needs."

"Batelco customers with other Batelco packages may upgrade to FT2000 Plus to start enjoying the first of its kind benefits," he added.

HSDPA is a technology that allows SIM cards used in mobile phones to access the internet at high speeds of up to 14.4 MB on any device that supports HSDPA technology such as Batelco O Net device and HSDPA mobile phones/laptops.

Batelco's FT2000 subscribers may upgrade to get the 'Plus' services by sending a text with either 1GB or 3GB, depending on the capacity required, to 4554. New or upgrading customers may visit any of Batelco's 20 Retail Outlets for assistance.
