The main event has attracted the participation of more than 129 companies; local participation accounts for 33% of the total exhibitors and international participation accounts for 67%. Hours for the main event are from 10 AM to 1 PM and 5 PM to 9 PM daily, except Friday when it will only be opening in the evening from 5 PM to 9 PM.
'We are confident that this show will result in excellent business and will provide exhibitors with an opportunity to showcase their products and generate business leads during the four-day event and our optimism is justified by the keen response from buyers and VIPs that have pre-registered for the show,' said DWTC Director General, Mubarak bin Fahad.
The VIP Boat Show is being held in conjunction with the main event at the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club. Attendance to this segment, which features luxury yachts on the water and chalet stands representing regional and international boat manufacturers, is by invitation only.
The companies participating in the VIP Show include Gulf Craft, featuring 5 models. Gulf Yachting, which represents several Italian Brands, will showcase two models at the VIP show. Other participants include Al Owais, Al Shaali, Al Yousef Motors, Dubai Marine, Duboats, Seaspray, and Yacht Solutions of UK.
Mr Mubarak noted that the DWTC's thorough expertise of exhibition management and promotion plays a major role in the success of the exhibitions and the forthcoming DIBS will result in good business for the exhibitors and quality deals for the buyers.
This year's main event features strong regional and international participation. The show has also been well supported by international groups from Italy, USA and Great Britain with boat and equipment companies present. Many famous international boating companies, such as Azimut and Ilver, are represented in the Gulf and are displaying their latest products at the exhibition.
Exhibitors are keen to take advantage of the many opportunities the region has to offer. The show's popularity continues to increase every year, not only attracting visitors from the home market but also influential international visitors, opening up markets in the Gulf States, Middle East, and the Asian sub-continent. The rapidly growing network of world-class marinas in Dubai has served to strengthen Dubai's role as a prime venue in the Middle East for the boating and marine industry.
