Nadia Dajani holds art exhibition in Vienna

In celebration of national artistic heritage, Jordanian jewelry designer Nadia Dajani and Mrs. May Bat teamed up in a Private Viewing of their work, held in June 2009 at the residence of the Jordanian Ambassador to Austria.

The two-day exhibition saw the showcasing of a history-inspired collection of Dajani's jewelry alongside handicrafts of Mrs. Bat. This was followed by cultural presentations about Jordan an, outlining the inspiration of culture and heritage on handicrafts and the arts.

The exhibition was hosted by HE Ambassador Makram Queisi and his wife Mrs Luna Abbadi, and was well attended by members of the diplomatic corps in Vienna as well select group Viennese society, who were delighted to experience a taste of the country through the art and the presentations- eliciting the response by many of a keen interest to visit the country.

"I believe that it is possible to convey so much to an audience through hand work, where there is a direct communication between the maker and the beholder- and so much can be conveyed in every piece produced, which makes it even more special the work we produce has been carefully executed and each step of has been executed with care and love"


said Dajani.

Nadia's passion for jewelry design brought rise to a distinctive style of unique pieces, many of which are influenced by Jordanian culture and tradition. These exclusive pieces became statements as they represented traditional stories and heritage in a modern way, thereby establishing a contemporary Jordanian style in jewelry, at the same time as promoting the 'Made in Jordan' label as the jewelry is exhibited in cities across the world.
