Acer boosts its channels in Egypt with 'Certified Sales Professional' program
- Egypt: Wednesday, March 19 - 2003 at 11:03
- PRESS RELEASE
Acer Computer (M.E.) Ltd. today announced plans to increase the size and scope of its highly-successful Acer Certified Sales Professional (ACSP) program for Egypt.
"Acer is a global brand with a reputation for excellence, both in terms of innovation and customer service. We achieve this by ensuring that our frontline channel sales representatives fully understand how these strategic values translate to the customer, and this has to be reinforced with regular training," said Krishna Murthy, General Manager, Acer Computer (M.E.) Ltd.
"Our training program is the cornerstone of our strategy to ensure that customers receive world-class standards of support and service," concluded Murthy.
Best practice program for Egypt
The ACSP training program is divided into four different modules - one each for commercial PCs, Servers, TravelMate Notebooks, and Aspire Desktop and Notebook PCs. Trainees are provided with intensive instruction on one, or all modules, before being tested and awarded the certification for the relevant modules.
"The primary objective of the ACSP program is to build on Acer's customer-centric philosophy. We want to ensure that our sales teams, both internal and external, are ready to act as IT consultants rather than merely as sales people," said Basem Ewaiwi, Regional Sales Manager, CIS & East Mediterranean, Acer Computer (M.E.) Ltd.
"Egypt has been a highly successful market for Acer, with high levels of interest in our products and great support from our reseller network here. We believe that our long-term success lies in providing IT solutions through a network of highly-trained sales professionals and will continue to invest in our ACSP program for Egypt," added Ewaiwi.
The ACSP program has generated tremendous enthusiasm within the Acer channel partner network in Egypt, which includes Mantrac, Egyptcomp, and Compuserve, with recent training sessions heavily oversubscribed. The program offers an insight into the latest technological innovations involved in the development of next generation products
"Our new ACSP program enhancements mean channel sales staff will always be a step ahead of the competition, in both product knowledge and customer service aptitude," commented Ewaiwi.
Acer's investment in ongoing training has won considerable praise in recent months. In March, the company was declared a "Superbrand" in the Middle East, an award that is only given to companies that offer significant benefits to their customers and whose brands are associated with excellence.
