"As the first integrated tourism development in the Sultanate and one of the most prestigious developments in the Middle East, we are delighted to have been invited to join the AIPP's prestigious list of members. The Wave Muscat is the first developer in Oman and one of only a small number in the region to join the AIPP," Smith added.
Based in London, the AIPP works to set standards in the property industry, improve services to homeowners and enhance regulatory frameworks.
As an AIPP member, The Wave Muscat subscribes to the organisation's code of conduct, which stipulates exacting standards of transparency and professional integrity and requires The Wave Muscat staff to undergo specialist training.
The Wave Muscat also agrees to abide by the AIPP's disciplinary procedures in response to a breach of the code.
Paul Owen, Chief Executive of the AIPP, said:
"As AIPP Members, The Wave Muscat has submitted itself to our qualification process and has now voluntarily agreed to be bound by our professional code of conduct. We congratulate them on their commitment to professional standards and clients should feel reassured by such an undertaking. We look forward to working with them and nearly 400 other AIPP members to make the international property market a better place for buyers."
A major event on the international property and real estate industry calendar, the AIPP Awards take place next spring.
The Wave Muscat is being developed through a joint venture by Oman's Waterfront Investments (representing the Government of the Sultanate of Oman), National Investment Funds Company (representing Omani Pension Funds), and the UAE-based Majid Al Futtaim Group.
