The exhibition, owned and organized by the Dubai World Trade Centre, is being held at the Dubai Golf Creek and Yacht Club until the 22nd of March. The event will be open daily from 10 AM to 1 PM and from 5 PM to 9 PM, except on Friday when it will be open from 5 PM to 9 PM.
The Royal tour covered the grounds of the exhibition and HH Sheikh Ahmed was impressed with the profile of exhibitors, complimenting the overall quality of the show.
'The profile of this event is truly international with -more than 2/3 of the total 129 exhibitors coming from overseas including strong participation from Europe, USA and Asia which underlines Dubai's position as the leading hub in the Middle East and beyond for the boating and marine industry,' said Mubarak bin Fahad, Director General of DWTC.
He noted that Dubai abounds with some of the best boating facilities in both the region and the world and also boasts a swiftly growing network of marinas that in turn has attracted the interest of an increasing number of exhibitors to participate in DIBS.
The exhibition profile is further enhanced by strong local and regional presence. The event increases exhibitor and visitor interest and participation, while stimulating growth in related activities of the industry.
Exhibitors who participated in the previous shows said the exhibition provided an excellent platform to meet new clients from a variety of regions and claimed that the Gulf region is an important and expanding market for the marine sector. With a rapidly growing network of marinas in Dubai, the emirate will continue to be increasingly recognised as the region's key trade zone for the marine industry.
