This is in line with the stability of Qatar's economy relative to the rest of the region, and amidst recent BMI reports that the country's construction sector is poised for a 16.28% Year on Year (YoY) growth in 2009. Senior company officials also revealed that extensive efforts are being taken to step up RWI's production to 1,800 containers per year in order to adequately supply and meet the growing demand for rubber insulation products in Qatar and the rest of the region.

As the Qatar construction sector witnesses continued activity and a surge in the number of large projects, RWI is currently developing new strategies and studying expansion possibilities that will boost the supply process of its industry-leading, eco-friendly products to the country.

With analysis from BMI's 'Qatar Infrastructure Report Q2 2009' suggesting strong potential for Qatar to exceed its recorded growth in 2008 this year, the company is anticipating ongoing mega-projects in the country to continuously fuel the demand for its products, which have earned significant recognition from world renowned organizations.

"The visionary initiatives of the Qatar Government have resulted in the strength of the country's economy despite the current economic slowdown, and we are committed to supporting the success of this regional model of strategic planning. In the midst of more intense construction activities and an impending need for more energy, which will introduce the need for new projects to increase the generated capacity, RWI is committed to become a leading partner for rubber insulation among Qatar-based projects."

said Abu Baker Shaikhani, Managing Director, Rubber World Industries and Chairman of the Memon Group.

RWI products have long since served as vital components of major property developments by leading developers in the Middle East. Among the company's most recently won projects are high profile developments in the UAE such as 'Motor City', 'Traders Hotel' project, 'The Villa' project and a half a million dirham deal for 'Horizon Tower'. RWI also caters to the rubber insulation needs of companies from more than 90 countries, including the US, Germany, Russia, Canada and Singapore. The company's aggressive expansion stems from its aims to secure Dhs60m in revenues for 2009, following a record Dhs32.4m in sales revenues in 2008.

"In these times of intense number-crunching in order to ensure that efficiency is achieved, we offer the market with the best option for rubber insulation products with key focus on air-conditioning, plumbing and heating. Our extensive regional experience has enabled us to manufacture these high quality products, and we are now increasing our efforts to further expand the reach of our products for the benefit of customers in the region and across the globe," concluded Shaikhani.
