Emaar International Jordan unveils second phase of The Apartments at Samarah Dead Sea Resort

Emaar International Jordan, the country subsidiary of Emaar Properties PJSC, has unveiled the second phase of The Apartments within Rift Living, a key component of the Samarah Dead Sea Resort master-planned community.

The Mediterranean-styled low-rise residential towers are designed by a team of international designers with a focus on maximising space utilization, enhancing views of Dead Sea and promoting the overall well-being of residents.

A select number of units from five buildings in the second phase of The Apartments will be offered for sale ranging from studios, 1 and 2 bedroom apartments as well as 2 bedroom lofts. Currently being showcased are a choice of studios, one- to three-bedroom apartments and one and 2 bedroom lofts ranging in size from 52 to 255 sq m in total area.

Emaar International Jordan had launched the first phase of The Apartments to strong domestic and international response. The recent declaration by the Jordanian Government to develop the Dead Sea region as an official Development Area has further boosted the demand for world-class homes in the region which Samarah Dead Sea Resort offers.

Homes at the second phase of The Apartments will open for sale on July 11, 2009, with a financial institution providing easy home finance packages.

Emaar will also showcase the homes in its international markets including the United Arab Emirates and other Gulf countries to reach out to investors and home buyers in these countries.

Mr Radzi Zakaria, General Manager of Emaar International Jordan, said that the launch of the second phase of homes propels the progress on Samarah Dead Sea Resort, and the sustained demand for world-class residences in Jordan.

He added, "The second phase of The Apartments will also be amenity-rich, and offer residents easy access to the Beach Club, thus assuring a modern, marina-inspired lifestyle. All homes have the highest aesthetic standards and design specifications that are specifically aimed at enhancing the quality of living. Contracts for the second phase will be awarded soon with the first homes scheduled to be handed over in 2010."

The homes have spacious rooms, walk-in closets, and bathrooms and kitchens with superior fittings. The large windows and balcony opening to spectacular views of the Dead Sea allow for generous inflow of light. The interiors reflect the natural colour palette the blue of the Dead Sea and desert-brown complemented by honey and cream shades for kitchen cabinets and fittings.

Lifestyle amenities include retail outlets, hotels, the Beach Club and leisure areas. The Rift Living homes are located directly on the Dead Sea, adjacent to the waterway and across Wadi Mukheiris from the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre and Samarah Dead Sea Resort Sales Centre, adding to their accessibility. Residents will have easy access to a Retail Village, which brings in a new dimension to retailing and leisure to Jordan. The Retail Village will be a veritable showcase of leading retail brands, several themed F&B outlets and leisure activities tailored for all members of the family.

The JD354m Samarah Dead Sea Resort is owned by The Dead Sea Touristic and Real Estate Company, a venture of Emaar Properties and a group of regional and Jordanian investors. The project is in line with the growth plan for Jordan as outlined by the King Abdullah II Fund for Development. Work on the first phase is progressing as per schedule with several Jordanian contractors undertaking the construction.
