Philips powers computer screens with LightFrame
- United Arab Emirates: Thursday, March 20 - 2003 at 14:36
- PRESS RELEASE
Philips have today announced the introduction of LightFrame3, a dramatically enhanced software/hardware package that delivers brighter and sharper photo, video and game screen display simultaneously in multiple windows.
"Original LightFrame versions, first introduced by Philips in 2001 and upgraded in 2002, won rave reviews from media and computer users for their ability to upgrade monitor performance when displaying images or game screens. LightFrame 3 is a significant upgrade both from earlier LightFrame versions and from 'catch up' versions offered by competitors, even better than the higher brightness tubes that are now being introduced" explained Oliver Delahaye, Regional General Manager Consumer Electronics, Philips Electronics Middle East and Africa.
LightFrame 3 automatically boosts sharpness and brightness of upto 16 images in web pages displayed with Microsoft Internet Explorer. LightFrame 3 allows users to adjust four levels of sharpness and three levels of brightness to give users the flexibility of 12 options for picture optimisation, making LightFrame 3 the only product of its type in the market this user-friendly. In additional to delivering these simultaneous on-demand enhancements.
The technical advances incorporated into LightFrame 3 further reinforce Philips' leadership in monitor innovation.
