Umniah's sponsorship is a result of its belief in the Congress's mission in promoting Arab cross-cultural understanding, tolerance and Arab solidarity.
Approximately 150 young men and women between the ages of 14 and 16 years old are expected to participate in this event, representing over 18 countries including Jordan, UAE, Bahrain, Tunis, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Oman, Qatar, Lebanon and Egypt.
This year's session will also involve a number of non-Arab countries for the second time in the congress's history since 2004.
These countries include USA, Australia, Austria, Holland and Turkey, and will give Arab youth the opportunity to partake in knowledge and cultural exchange with youth from around the world.
The Umniah team will be taking part in the Congress's sessions and art seminars to teach participants how to develop their artistic skills.
The company will also enable participants to take souvenir pictures of Jordan using Umniah's mobile phones, and will supply them with international roaming minutes to enable them to stay in contact with their families in their respective countries.
"We appreciate the efforts of the National Center for Culture and Performing Arts in organizing this congress, which we are honored to be sponsors of,"
commented Mr. Ihab Hinnawi, Umniah's CEO.
"The Congress provides Arab youth valuable opportunities to communicate and interact through the various activities which enable them to express their views on a range of social and economic issues as well as to share their future aspirations, in turn strengthening Arab solidarity. The Congress also contributes to creating an enlightened generation that enjoys a deep sense of awareness, enabling them to employ their skills and abilities towards creating future leaders."
