Cost of living rises for expats in Abu Dhabi and Dubai

According to a global study by HR consulting firm Mercer, Dubai is the most expensive city in the GCC for expatriates to live in, having risen to 20th place from a ranking of 52nd last year. The UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, has also climbed to 26th spot from last year's 65th. Elsewhere in the GCC, Kuwait has risen to 77th spot, followed by Manama at 82nd, Riyadh at 90th position, and Jeddah climbing up to 109th from 126th last year.
