The paper includes an analytical study of inputs to be adopted in the design of radiocommunications. The results of this research are expected to improve the performance of the radiocommunications operating in the United Arab Emirates.
The meeting has praised the quality of the study and recommended that the researcher continues his efforts in collaboration with the TRA so that the study will cover the whole Arabian Gulf region through coordination with the telecommunications departments in the concerned countries.
For his part, Prof. Fahar Hayati, Dean of the College of Engineering, has said:
"This participation reflects the vision of AUST in breaking down barriers between the University and the business community. The College of Engineering puts its efforts and the efforts of its teachers and the creative energies of its students into supporting studies and research that contribute actively to the development of UAE community."
He has also affirmed that "the College extends its hand to community institutions and invites them to work together into fostering the process of building and development in order to enhance the scientific and academic movement within UAE."
Prof. Fahar Hayati added that the College of Engineering has specialized expertise in the fields of telecommunications engineering, electronics and control, energy, architecture and interior design and seeks to harness this expertise in the development of community environment as well as maintaining its sustainability.
In this regard, Eng. Tareq Al-Awadi, Director of the Department of Frequency Spectrum and International Affairs of the TRA, has stressed the importance of communication between institutions, corporations and universities working in the fields of telecommunications and information technology so as to cooperate with and give full support to all parties concerned with scientific research in the country.
He has also emphasized the significance of sponsoring studies and research that are conducted by universities and other scientific institutions interested in the telecommunication sector.
The TRA, he said, sends these studies and research to relevant international organizations such as the ITU in Geneva, being convinced that such studies and research will benefit the UAE and the region's telecommunication sector.
In conclusion, Eng. Al-Awadhi praised the existing coordination between the TRA and AUST as regard the present study and other prospective studies which will surely achieve the desired results for the GCC countries in general and the United Arab Emirates in particular.
